About this role

Job summary

To provide clerical and administrative support to the Heart Failure team and liaise with patients, relatives and other health care professionals, ensuring that all administrative processes and responsibilities are undertaken effectively and to a high standard. Deal efficiently and effectively with direct and indirect enquiries providing routine information and non-clinical advice as Per Trust policies. Attend to all communications on a daily basis. Provide accurate and confidential information to assist the team with continued data entry, strictly adherent to Caldicott and Data Protection Act and retrieval of patient information via recognized computer software programs available to the Trust. Contribute to the maintenance of accurate patient case notes as specified by Trust Policy. Comply with the Trust's policies to ensure targets are adhered to. To undertake any other duties which may reasonably be requested by the service lead and/or team members.

Main duties of the job

Provide anonline typing service to meet the service requirements. Provide secretarial support to the team members. Maintain efficient online filing system for service records. Manage online clinic diaries for the service. Utilize a comprehensive range of word processing skills. Any other duties to the grade of this post to ensure the smooth running of the service Administration

Adhere to all administrative procedures. Collate and input data in order to maintain Heart Failure database. Organize meetings as requested ensuring accurate minute taking in agreed format within appropriate timescale. To register new patients and arrange appointments as per protocol. To ensure any changes to appointment dates are registered and appropriate documentation completed. To ensure ordering of goods required by service is maintained and thatroutine equipment checking is organized and in date. Ensure any other administrative needs of the service are facilitated.
