Job summary As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will play an important part in each patient's surgical journey.
You will prepare for procedures, support the surgical team and make sure the theatre remains safe, organised and ready. You will work closely with colleagues who value teamwork, clear communication and high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job What you will be doing
* Preparing instruments, equipment and supplies for surgery
* Scrubbing and assisting during surgical procedures
* Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and theatre team
* Maintaining a safe and sterile theatre environment
* Completing WHO safety checks and accurate patient records
* Working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery practitioners and theatre colleagues
* Supporting students and new members of the team
* Helping us improve patient care and theatre services

Job description Job responsibilities Job Title: Theatre Scrub Practitioner Department: Main Theatres Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW Salary: Band 5 - Based on your experience Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shifts: Monday to Saturday rota covering early and late shifts - no night shifts Develop your scrub career with us Are you an experienced Scrub Practitioner looking for greater variety, a supportive team and the opportunity to develop? Join our Main Theatre team and work alongside leading consultants across 10 modern theatres. We provide complex surgery across Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Plastics, ENT, Ophthalmology and Cancer Services. We are looking for someone with varied scrub experience across a range of surgical specialties. You will also have opportunities to build on your existing knowledge and continue developing your skills with the support of our experienced team.
