Do you want to help young people create a better future?
Our client is looking for a Careers Coach to join their Flexible Response Team, supporting young people aged 16–18 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET). Based in Liverpool, you’ll also deliver services across the area, so flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.
About the Role
As a Careers Coach, you’ll use coaching techniques and your strong relationship-building skills to help young people explore their strengths, build confidence, and take positive steps toward their future. You’ll support them to overcome barriers and achieve goals - whether that’s moving into work, education, or training, or engaging in volunteering, short programmes, or wellbeing support.
You’ll work closely with young people, their families, and a wide range of professionals including support services, training providers, and employers. Collaboration is key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored careers support to NEET young people aged 16–18Use coaching approaches to build motivation and confidenceTrack engagement and maintain regular contactSupport progression into employment, education, or trainingConnect young people to wellbeing and mental health servicesBuild strong relationships with families and partner organisations
What Our Client is Looking For
Experience supporting people to achieve personal or professional goalsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work flexibly across multiple sitesA Level 3 or 4 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance is desirableAlternatively, 12+ months’ experience in a similar role with willingness to work towards a qualification
