Quality Inspector (CMM) — Precision Engineering
Salary: £18 – £21 per hour, depending on experience
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Working pattern: Full-time, permanent — 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm)

Pact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company producing high-quality, complex components for the motorsport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Quality Inspector to help maintain the standards our customers rely on.
This suits an experienced inspector, or a competent engineer ready to step into a dedicated quality role, who wants to develop within a well-run machine shop.
What you'll be doing Inspecting precision components and finished products against specificationReading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentationUsing precision measurement equipment including micrometers, gauges and CMMIdentifying and reporting non-conforming componentsProducing detailed inspection reports and quality documentationIdentifying defects, supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actionsWorking with production teams to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defectsSupporting the development and maintenance of quality procedures and ISO9001 standards What you'll bring Experience in quality inspection within a precision engineering environmentExperience programming and operating Aberlink Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&TKnowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively What's on offer Permanent, full-time position with an early Friday finishRegular overtime available (non-contractual)Ongoing training and development20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with serviceWorkplace pension schemeEnhanced sick payFree on-site parking, with Luton rail and bus stations close byA stable, friendly team in an established business Ready to apply?
