About this role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Interact appropriately and professionally with students, parents, and co-workers.
• Support student engagement and participation in the program.
• Prepare, serve, and clean up breakfast.
• Supervise and engage students during classroom and group activities.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and relevant student information to the Head Teacher and/or Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Teacher or Director.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• The employee must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and perform activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and running.
• The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects.
• The position requires the ability to work effectively in an active environment with frequent distractions and interruptions, including phone calls, parent interactions, walkie-talkie communication, and elevated noise levels.
• The employee must be able to respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations.
• The employee may be required to work outdoors in weather conditions that are considered safe and appropriate for students.
Requirements:
• One year or more of college-level experience in education or a related field (psychology, sociology, etc.) with supporting experience (summer camp counselor, Girl Scout/Boy Scout leader, etc.).
• CPR/AED/First Aid training or the ability to be trained
• Valid Drivers License
Schedule:
• Thursday and Friday scheduling available
• Start time: 7:00 AM
• End time: start of school
