About this role

This position is intended for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Plan and implement engaging enrichment activities aligned with student interests and staff strengths, including arts and crafts, STEM, cooperative games, sports, team-building, and other recreational activities.

• Assist with daily supervision of students in both structured and unstructured settings (e.g., hallways, cafeteria, recess, transitions) while using positive, consistent behavior management practices.

• Maintain safe, organized, and orderly program spaces, including assisting with classroom and storage area clean-up

• Build positive, professional relationships with students to support engagement and maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

• Communicate and interact professionally with parents, students, and coworkers while maintaining student confidentiality.

• Share relevant student observations, concerns, and program feedback with leadership staff as appropriate.

• Attend required staff trainings, field trips, and special events as requested.

• Other duties as assigned by the Head Teacher, Assistant Director, or Director

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and occasionally run while supervising students and program activities.

• The employee may occasionally lift and move heavy objects.

• The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions and interruptions, including phone calls, parent interactions, walkie-talkie communication, and loud settings.

• The employee must be able to respond appropriately to emergencies, including student injuries and behavioral incidents.

• The employee is required to work outdoors in various weather conditions deemed safe and appropriate for students.

Requirements:

• College-level coursework or experience in education or a related field (e.g., psychology, sociology, or human services) with relevant experience working with children preferred, such as school support, childcare, camps, or youth programs.

• CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.

• Valid driver's license required.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday scheduling available.

• Approximate start time: 3:30 PM

• End Time: 6:00 PM

Rate:

• $18.50 for college students

• $20.00 per hour for those with a relevant bachelor's degree or currently employed by a public school system
