Piedmont Public Schools Men's Soccer Assistant Coach Position: Assistant Men's Soccer Coach Program: Piedmont High School Men's Soccer Reports To: Head Men's Soccer Coach and Athletic Administration Location: Piedmont, Oklahoma Position Summary: The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach supports the Head Coach in developing student-athletes, conducting practices, preparing for competitions, and maintaining a positive, competitive, and professional team environment. The assistant coach is expected to be a positive role model who promotes excellence in soccer, academics, character, teamwork, and leadership. Essential Responsibilities ? Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions. ? Teach and develop technical skills, tactical understanding, fitness, and game awareness. ? Provide individual instruction and constructive feedback to players. ? Assist with match preparation, game-day responsibilities, and tactical adjustments. ? Help supervise student-athletes and maintain a safe, disciplined, and positive environment. ? Reinforce team rules, school expectations, sportsmanship, and program standards. ? Communicate professionally with players, parents, coaches, teachers, and administrators. ? Assist with equipment, uniforms, field setup, transportation, and other program needs. ? Attend scheduled practices, games, meetings, tournaments, and other required soccer activities. ? Follow all Piedmont Public Schools, athletic department, and OSSAA policies and requirements. ? Support the vision, expectations, and coaching philosophy established by the Head Coach. Qualifications Required: ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Ability to meet Piedmont Public Schools and OSSAA coaching requirements. ? Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and game principles. ? Ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes. ? Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred ? Previous high school, club, collegiate, or competitive soccer coaching experience. ? Soccer coaching certification or education through US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, or similar organization. ? Playing experience at a competitive level. Preferred Characteristics: ? A positive and enthusiastic leader. ? Committed to developing young men both on and off the field. ?
