• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Literacy required.
• Effective communication skills
OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION: To ensure the safety of students in the crossing intersection during the duty hours assigned. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follows local, state and federal law and adheres to State Department of Education and local school board policy.
• Establishes and maintains good rapport with employees, students and community.
• Assists children in crossing intersections on the way to and from school.
• Enforces state laws regarding school zones.
• Protects safety of children at all times while on duty.
• Reports student safety infractions.
• Places speed signs and reports maintenance of same when required.
• Maintains district supplied equipment.
• Does not direct traffic.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
REPORTS TO: Grounds Maintenance Supervisor TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year to be established by the Board. Salary is determined by individual training and experience level on approved salary schedule. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of personnel.
