You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-07 grade level: I have one year of specialized experience at the GS-06 grade level which includes performing standard law enforcement duties, including responding to emergency calls, securing incident scenes, and enforcing local, state, or federal laws; conducting preliminary investigations, including interviewing witnesses, collecting and preserving evidence, and apprehending suspects; and preparing detailed law enforcement reports and utilizing law enforcement databases to input and retrieve criminal data. Major DutiesRespond to emergency calls and alarms, assesses probable cause, exercises search and arrest authority, and performs initial lifesaving first aid as a first responder.Collect and preserve physical evidence, conduct routine preliminary investigations, and interview witnesses. Prepare case facts under established guidelines and provides clear, truthful testimony in military, federal, or state courts.Operate specialized traffic equipment (radar, Lidar, breathalyzer) during patrols, conduct investigative stops, issue citations, executes high-speed pursuits when necessary, and manage traffic control points.Protect personnel, tactical military assets, and high-value assets by executing comprehensive Antiterrorism/Force Protection measures to deter and deny unauthorized access, and maintains proficiency through installation AT exercises.Operate National Crime Information Center terminals to transcribe data in compliance with regulations. Generate standard police reports, processes fingerprints/DNA samples, and prepare administrative documentation.
