Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 24 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Major Duties***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POSITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located in the Military Personnel Office (MILPO), Army National Guard (ARNG). The primary purpose of this position is to develop, evaluate, coordinate and deliver comprehensive, target group oriented preventive education and training and administrative support in administering the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program (R3/SPP). The primary objective of resilience is to help Soldiers, families and units develop the resiliency to overcome and respond positively to adversity. The primary objective of risk reduction is to identify units and individuals with high risk profiles, and to provide low risk decision making education to increase the readiness of the soldier. Work requires knowledge of the methods and techniques of education and training in such areas as instruction, development and/or evaluation of curricula, instructional materials and aids. The incumbent also coordinates with the Counter Drug Office or State Alcohol and Drug Chemical Officer (ADCO) to provide soldiers treatment that is recommended for substance abuse issues. Develops, implements, coordinates and monitors all aspects of the R3/SPP related to identification, assessment, intervention and preventive education. Develops training modules for each target group that includes development of lesson plans, supporting visual aids, etc. Serves as the collection/collaboration point of contact (POC) for the submission of crimes against persons and property, injuries/accidents, suicide attempts/completions in a computerized spreadsheet system. Maintains adequate records and databases to administer the programs information to provide the necessary reports to the MILPO. Creates quality spreadsheets, printouts and graphics for use by commanders, assesses data and provides command consultations to commanders at all levels recommending intervention strategies. Maintains the unit R3/SPP Data reports. Provides plans for an efficient resource management program and maximum support of service delivery. Plans include supported projections of long-term soldier readiness and support plans and resource needs to ARNG level trends and directives. Prepares and edits a variety of training aids, organizational charts, slides, briefing materials, etc. on all aspects of the programs. Works directly with the various command groups in scheduling events and meetings or development of committees for the programs related to risk reduction.
