Job SummaryYou will serve as a Deputy Director for Operations of COMMANDER, SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as: 1) Determining and developing program goals and work plans for special operations of air, ground, and maritime activities; 2) Developing analysis and proposals for organizational changes in areas of organizational structure, operational costs, and establishment/elimination of key positions; 3) Prioritizing and assigning tasks to subordinates in support of achieving the command's mission; 4) Assisting in the development of command directed, joint, combined, and unilateral special operations program activities (i.e. public relations and policy, congressional relations, and economic impact); 5) Determining resource needs, allocating resources and accounts for the effective use of these resources in employing Special Operations Forces (SOF) and approving expenditures of funds to meet operational requirements; 6) Directing the development of training programs, operations exercises, and evaluations of theater capabilities with regards to counterterrorism doctrine, organization, and missions.
