Job SummaryAbout the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOFS), G-3, Force Readiness Division; Readiness Branch, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Developing intelligence plans to support organizational missions or operational requirements. AND 2. Presenting intelligence-related recommendations to leadership or organizational stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
Major DutiesServes as the Intelligence Planner for the Assistant Chief of Staff G3, Plans, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).Analyzes organizational intelligence requirements to identify priorities affecting current and future mission objectives.Coordinates intelligence strategies and courses of action to address operational requirements and emerging mission needs.Integrates intelligence considerations into the Military Decision-Making Process in support of operational forces.Assesses intelligence capabilities and functional requirements affecting training, deployment, employment, or sustainment of operational forces.Reviews changes to intelligence policy, doctrine, regulations, and directives to determine their impact on organizational intelligence activities.Resolves non-routine intelligence issues through application of governing intelligence authorities and established guidance.Advises leadership on intelligence issues requiring organizational action or decision.Represents organizational intelligence positions during planning teams, working groups, or other professional forums.
