In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by using a variety of different equipment to plan rough drafts, and create visual representations; operating a wide variety of audiovisual production systems for meetings, trainings and events; troubleshooting equipment and materials used in the creation of different products; or creating or assembling materials for presentations, ceremonies, publications, or live and pre-recorded television broadcasts. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Major DutiesServe as Audiovisual Information Specialist receiving work assignments on AESMP, Audiovisual work request.Analyze the work request and determines whether it can be accomplished in house or should be contracted out.Use equipment such as professional videographer, photographer and graphics artists tools and equipment to specialized tools and equipment.Select type of materials and the means of automated production considered most suitable for the specific visual product.Assume responsibility of audiovisual production from concept creation to completion or live presentation throughout all stages and processes of creating, collecting, and incorporating audiovisual elementsServe as operator on a wide variety of complex audiovisual production systems, television, presentation, broadcasting, conference room presentation and VTC equipment.Consult with and advises operating personnel on the concepts, processes, policies, and utilization techniques of visual materials as an aid in communicating information.Operate a wide variety of Photography and Graphics equipment to plan and design a wide variety of graphic, photograph, for inclusion in AV productions from initial planning stage through final production.
