Projects are being delayed, workloads are increasing, and the influx of young talent is falling short of demand. The Maritime Talent Programme offers a concrete and practical solution: a two-year programme that prepares recent MBO and HBO graduates for a sustainable career in the maritime sector while making them directly deployable within your company. What is the Maritime Talent Programme? The Maritime Talent Programme is a two-year traineeship for recent technical graduates with an MBO (levels 3/4) or HBO background. The programme is part of the Human Capital pillar of the Maritime Masterplan, an initiative supported by the Dutch National Growth Fund. Participants are recruited, selected and guided by Critical Minds, an organisation with fifteen years of experience in training and developing young professionals. Over the course of two years, the young professionals complete three consecutive assignments of eight months each at different partner companies or departments. This enables them to build broad sector knowledge, learn to work across different organisations and contexts, and develop into versatile professionals who are ready to take on the challenges of the modern maritime industry. The Maritime Talent Programme is an initiative of the Maritime Masterplan, co-funded by the Dutch National Growth Fund. How does the programme work? Three assignments, three companies, two years. Each participant works for eight months at a partner company, contributing to a project or working within a department. After eight months, they move on to a new assignment at another company.
