/ Lead Mechanical Engineer - Hytrans Systems - Lemmer - hbo - 1 year or longer Engineering Technic Are you the driven Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Hose Handling Team who has a passion for designing mobile, rugged products for customers in the global emergency response market? Then come join our team! What can we tell you about the position: Hytrans delivers high-capacity mobile pump and hose handling systems for the emergency response market. The systems are typically containerized and can be transported on hooklift trucks and trailers. The Hytrans 'Hose Handling' containers enable our clients to rapidly deploy water hoses over long distances and to retrieve and repack them after an incident. These containers contain complex mechatronic sub-products. As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will manage your team and do a lot of multidisciplinary work within the Engineering department and with colleagues from other departments. You will report functionally and hierarchically to the Manager Engineering. Key responsibilities in this role: - You manage the team in a natural and efficient manner, planning work and matching the right engineers to specific client assignments or projects. - For new or complex assignments, you will set up the outline design and be the point of contact for questions about technical feasibility and effort required. - You will design machines and modifications (mechanical/hydraulic) in Inventor and manage the entire process in Pro.File (PDM). - You ensure that all designs comply with CE marking and relevant international standards and safety requirements, both within and outside Europe. - You will be responsible for (checking) strength, power and stability calculations and provide final release. - You will lead the construction and testing of prototypes and take the lead in solving real-world technical challenges. - You take initiatives to continuously optimize the efficiency, work methods and resu...
