About this role

Consultant - Exposure and Risk Assessment We are looking for a Consultant to join our team as a Chemical Risk Assessor . You will be required to contribute at a technical level to multi-disciplinary teams working on projects relating to regulation of chemicals and biocidal products. This will include both preparation of exposure and risk characterisation elements of dossiers for regulatory submissions and may also involve contributing at a technical level to strategic policy projects for government organisations. The position is suitable for applicants holding a minimum masters-level degree in chemistry or a related discipline (or equivalent postgraduate experience) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in the areas of chemical regulation and exposure assessment, gained through working in regulatory consultancy, industry or with a regulator. It is essential to have detailed understanding and demonstrable experience of using the standard risk assessment tools used for REACH Chemical Safety Assessment; additional experience of models used for other regulations such as biocides or plant protection products would be an advantage. The ideal candidate must be organised, flexible and have effective communication skills - a high level of skill in written and spoken English is essential. Full-time or part-time working hours are possible for this role (depending on location).
