Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Odours. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player.
