Clinical Instructor (LPN) Rate: $34- $35/hour (depending on experience) Shift: Full-Time Schedule: Days
Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to add a Clinical Instructor (LPN) to its team. In this role, you'll support CNA and nursing education programs through hands-on training, mentoring, competency evaluations, and staff development initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise and evaluate CNA trainees during clinical training
• Assess competencies through observation, demonstrations, and skills validation
• Provide coaching, remediation, and performance feedback to trainees
• Complete training documentation, evaluations, and educational records
• Support CNA and nursing orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education programs
• Mentor newly hired CNAs and nurses and assist with performance improvement plans
• Conduct rounds to provide coaching and support to nursing staff
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, surveys, and staff education activities
• Assist with QAPI, Safety Committee, and other assigned programs
• Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma required
• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required
• Minimum 2 years of LPN experience in a long-term care setting; 3-5 years preferred
• Strong teaching, coaching, mentoring, and communication skills
• Knowledge of CNA training requirements, infection control, resident rights, and long-term care regulations
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time management abilities
• Ability to support staff development and foster a positive learning environment
