JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: MGR – Production (Export Assembly) Level: EX Function: Manufacturing – Waluj 3W Department (Sub-function): Production – Export Assembly Office/Location: Waluj – Aurangabad 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Reporting to Direct Reports VP – Vehicle Assembly & Paint Shop Executives / Engineers / Trainees 3. INTERACTION WITH STAKEHOLDERS Internal External Direct PPC, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Industrial Engineering, HR, Safety Export Vendors/ Representatives, Equipment & Process Vendors, Contractors Indirect Purchase, Supplier Quality Assurance, Finance, Corporate Manufacturing, R&D Logistics / Freight Partners, Service Providers 4. JOB REQUIREMENTS Educational Qualifications Graduate Engineer – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering from a reputed institute with good academic track record. Additional Requirements Strong experience in vehicle assembly / production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience in managing export-oriented production and multiple product / variant mix . Knowledge of assembly processes, line balancing, takt time and cycle-time management. Strong understanding of quality requirements and defect prevention in export products. Exposure to production planning and execution against shipment / dispatch schedules. Experience in manpower planning and shop-floor team management. Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous improvement systems. Exposure to new model introduction and engineering change implementation. Knowledge of production traceability, process documentation and export-specific requirements. Working knowledge of SAP / production reporting systems and MS Office. 5. KEY COMPETENCIES Technical / Functional Strong knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and manufacturing systems. Production planning and execution to meet export production and shipment schedules . Ability to manage multiple models, variants and market-specific configurations. Knowledge of line balancing, takt time, cycle time and capacity optimization. Knowledge of assembly equipment, tools, fixtures and poka-yoke systems. Strong understanding of quality standards and defect prevention for export products. Analytical ability for production abnormality identification, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Knowledge of TPM, OEE, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles. Productivity improvement and manpower optimization. Production loss analysis and reduction. Knowledge of new model introduction, process validation and engineering changes. Understanding of product traceability and process documentation. Knowledge of safety systems, environmental norms and statutory requirements applicable to manufacturing. Production MIS, data analysis and performance monitoring. Working knowledge of SAP / ERP, MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office tools
