This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and prior mortgage or home equity processing experience.Key Responsibilities
• Process home equity loan applications from initial submission through closing • Manage a pipeline of approximately 25-30 active loan files once fully trained • Review income documentation, including pay stubs, tax returns, and supporting financial records • Order and review appraisals when required • Order flood certifications and verify property eligibility • Gather and review payoff statements and lien information • Review mortgagee clauses and ensure documentation accuracy • Prepare complete loan packages for underwriting review • Coordinate with underwriters, title companies, and members throughout the loan process • Schedule and arrange loan closings • Ensure compliance with credit union policies and lending guidelines • Maintain accuracy while meeting productivity and service-level expectations QualificationsRequired Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years of full-cycle mortgage processing or home equity loan processing experience • Experience managing a loan pipeline and processing files from application through closing • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced lending environment Training & Onboarding
• Two-week side-by-side training program • Training will focus primarily on systems, workflows, and credit union-specific processes • Candidates should already possess foundational home equity or mortgage processing knowledge Performance ExpectationsSuccess in this role will be measured through:
