About this role

DescriptionThe Fire Alarm Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems for commercial customers. This role ensures customer systems remain code-compliant, fully operational, and aligned with Everon's commitment to life safety, customer satisfaction, and technical excellence. Technicians serve as trusted advisors to customers by identifying deficiencies, recommending solutions, and delivering exceptional service during every interaction.Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and service of fire alarm systems.Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, and related components.Program and configure fire alarm systems as required.Complete all required documentation, inspection reports, and service records accurately and on time.Ensure compliance with NFPA, local AHJ requirements, and manufacturer specifications.Communicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional manner.Identify opportunities for system upgrades, repairs, and additional services.Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.Participate in on-call rotation and emergency service response as needed.Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures.Fire alarm industry experience preferredNICET Certification (Level I, II, or higher preferred)State Fire Alarm License where requiredValid Driver's License with acceptable driving recordExperience with major manufacturers such as:Silent KnightNotifierFire-LiteEdwardsSiemensSimplexBoschSkillsFire alarm, Service, NFPA, Low voltage, electrical, Troubleshooting, Documentation, Maintenance, Cctv, Access control, Install, Security, Installation, Alarm installationTop Skills DetailsFire alarm,Service,NFPA,Low voltage,electrical,Troubleshooting,Documentation,MaintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with security, access control, and cameras. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
