Composite Fabricator Location: Petaluma, CAPay: $25-30/hrSchedule: 1st Shift | 9/80 Schedule (Every Other Friday Off) Join an Innovative Aerospace Team We are hiring a Composite Fabricator to support the design and manufacturing of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the aerospace and defense industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while contributing to the fabrication of high-performance composite structures, tooling, and components. Key Responsibilities
• Fabricate composite tooling, fixtures, jigs, structures, and components using a variety of materials. • Perform composite layup, bonding, curing, trimming, and assembly processes according to engineering specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and written work instructions. • Collaborate with Engineering teams to support fabrication efforts and resolve tooling or production issues. • Operate hand and power tools such as jitterbugs, Dotco tools, sanders, and cutting equipment. • Work with adhesives, resins, thermal plastics, rubber materials, and other composite fabrication materials. • Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and scales to verify dimensional accuracy. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures. • Support additional manufacturing and assembly projects as needed. Qualifications Required:
• 6 months to 2 years of hands-on composite fabrication experience, or a combination of related education and experience. • Experience with composite layup processes and fabrication techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. • Proficiency using precision measurement tools. • Experience with common hand and power tools. • Basic computer skills and the ability to access digital work instructions. Preferred:
• Experience with aerospace, UAV, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments. • Knowledge of bonding, curing, adhesives, and resin systems. • Experience with wiring, soldering, electronics assembly, or troubleshooting. • Mechanical aptitude and strong mathematical skills for measuring and fabricating parts. Schedule & Work Environment This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Petaluma, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
