About this role

Quality Inspector Job DescriptionThe Quality Inspector monitors production operations and processes to ensure products meet established standards and specifications. This role reviews technical requirements, oversees in-process activities, performs detailed inspections and tests, and identifies defects in goods and materials. The Quality Inspector also supports continuous improvement by providing feedback on process efficiency, equipment accuracy, and overall product quality.Quality Inspector

• Perform in-process and incoming quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. • Conduct dimensional and mechanical testing, including impact, burst, and crush tests. • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. • Review blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications. • Identify defects, document findings, and support corrective actions. • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and test documentation. • Verify calibration and proper functioning of testing and inspection equipment. • Support production teams by troubleshooting quality-related issues. • Assist with quality training for new hires and production staff. • Track quality metrics and communicate quality concerns to relevant teams. • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation. You will regularly use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, as well as other inspection and testing equipment for dimensional and mechanical testing. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring comfort working around machinery, materials, and active production processes. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.35 - $24.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
