What You'll Do As a Manual Machinist, you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality, tight-tolerance components for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setups and changeovers on manual machining equipment. • Operate lathes, mills, drill presses, and other manual machine tools. • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs. • Program and adjust machining parameters to meet production requirements. • Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools. • Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards. • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime. • Complete production documentation and quality records accurately. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of manual machining experience in a manufacturing environment. • Experience operating manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and related equipment. • Ability to perform machine setups, changeovers, and machining adjustments independently. • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. • Experience machining close-tolerance components. • Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, materials, and machining best practices. • Experience using precision measuring tools and quality inspection equipment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred:

• Vocational training, machining certification, or apprenticeship experience. • Experience working within quality management systems. • Manufacturing experience in a precision machining environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
