About this role

Salary: £50,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements: We are looking for 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity with demonstrable OT/ICS security exposure.We need understanding of Industrial Control Systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC) and their unique security challenges.We need knowledge of OT security frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and ISA/IEC 62443.We need familiarity with OT-specific regulations including NIS, NIS2, CAF, and CRA.We need understanding of the OT threat landscape and attack vectors specific to industrial environments.We need the ability to work with both waterfall and agile methodologies across the full delivery lifecycle.We need strong communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and operational stakeholders.We need willingness to travel across the UK as projects require.Experience in Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defence, or Critical National Infrastructure sectors is highly valued.Hands-on experience with OT network architectures, protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and OPC, and segmentation strategies is highly valued.Professional certifications such as GICSP, IEC 62443, CISSP, GRID, or similar are highly valued.Understanding of safety systems (SIS) and their security requirements is highly valued.Knowledge of common OT security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and asset management tools is highly valued.Experience conducting OT security assessments or penetration testing is highly valued. Responsibilities: We conduct OT security assessments, readiness evaluations, and discovery workshops in industrial environments.We perform technical analysis of Industrial Control Systems (SCADA, DCS, PLC, IIoT) architecture and infrastructure.We identify vulnerabilities in OT networks and recommend security improvements aligned with industry standards.We assess and articulate OT-specific risks, including safety, availability, and integrity, and propose proportionate mitigations.We deploy security controls tailored to operational technology environments while balancing security with operational continuity.We support the implementation of ICS security frameworks based on IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and other OT-specific standards.We develop network segmentation strategies for OT/IT convergence scenarios.We conduct security testing in industrial environments while maintaining operational safety.We create project deliverables including OT threat and risk assessments, security policies, procedures, and compliance evidence.We develop security assurance management plans for industrial control systems.We produce technical documentation supporting OT security programmes and regulatory compliance.We support clients with NIS, NIS2, CAF, and CRA compliance requirements.We provide security guidance to operations teams, control engineers, and plant managers.We translate complex OT security risks into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.We collaborate with IT security teams to ensure cohesive security across IT/OT boundaries.We work effectively with senior client stakeholders including CISOs, Heads of OT, and Operations Directors.
