Salary: £48,000 - 68,000 per year
Requirements: Proven experience of 10+ years as a Business Analyst within Banking or Wealth ManagementHands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite, including configuration, parameterisation, or business rule developmentStrong understanding of Wealth Management processes, including portfolio management, client onboarding, KYC/AML, custody, trade execution, and reportingExperience writing BRDs, functional specifications, and user stories in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environmentsSolid understanding of core banking operations, securities processing, and financial productsExperience with UAT planning, execution, and defect managementStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiencesFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks affecting UK wealth and private banking, including FCA regulations, MiFID II, and Consumer DutyProficiency with requirements and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and MS OfficeBachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experienceRelevant industry certifications such as CBAP or BCS Business Analysis Diploma are advantageousAvaloq certification(s) are advantageousExperience with Avaloq Front (AF) or Avaloq Wealth is advantageousSQL or data analysis skills are advantageousPrior experience in a private bank, wealth manager, or Tier 1/2 banking institution is advantageousKnowledge of Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe is advantageous Responsibilities: Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Operations functionsAct as a subject matter expert on the Avaloq core banking system, advising on platform capabilities, configuration options, and best practicesProduce high-quality business requirement documents, functional specifications, process maps, and user storiesWork with Avaloqs Business Rule Framework, Script Language, and Reporting tools to define and validate solution designsLiaise with Avaloq vendor teams and internal developers to ensure requirements are correctly implementedSupport system testing, including test case design, UAT coordination, and defect triageAnalyse current-state processes and design improved future-state processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiencySupport regulatory and compliance-driven change initiatives within the Avaloq environmentFacilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement walkthroughsProduce clear documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiencesSupport project managers with planning, RAID logs, and status reporting as required Technologies: AvaloqConfluenceSupportJIRASQL More:
