Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year
Requirements: Current UK Security Check (SC) clearanceExperience delivering IT infrastructure within the UK defence sector, including supporting or working within MoD environmentsStrong experience with Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and core domain servicesGood knowledge of networking, including firewalls, routers and switchesExperience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and/or Hyper-VStrong infrastructure troubleshooting and 3rd line support capabilityExperience with system design, integration and implementationExperience leading, mentoring or providing technical direction to other engineersStrong customer and stakeholder management skillsAbility to prioritise technical work and make sound decisions around risk, security and deliveryWillingness and eligibility to undertake Developed Vetting (DV) longer-termFormal line management experienceDirect experience working with MoD customers and stakeholdersExperience supporting air-gapped, restricted or highly secure networksCurrent or previous DV clearanceKnowledge of Secure by Design principlesProject or technical delivery management experience Responsibilities: Lead, line manage and develop a small team of IT Infrastructure Engineers.Take ownership of technical delivery across customer projects and services.Plan and prioritise activity against risk, resource and customer requirements.Lead the resolution of complex infrastructure, hardware, software and networking issues.Provide technical escalation and 3rd line support.Support the design, integration, implementation and maintenance of secure IT systems.Monitor and maintain critical systems and networks.Contribute to system design and solution architecture.Maintain clear technical, support and procedural documentation.Coach and mentor engineers, sharing good engineering practice across the team.
