Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year
Requirements: We have previous experience as a data or software engineer in a similar role.We have technical expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and leveraging data services.We are proficient in DataOps methodologies and tools, including experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, containerisation, and workflow orchestration.We are familiar with ETL/ELT frameworks and experienced with Big Data Processing Tools such as Spark, Airflow, and Hive.We have knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL.We have hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL database design.We have a degree in STEM or a similar field; a masters is a plus.We have a data engineering certification, such as IBM Certified Data Engineer, which is a plus.We can demonstrate equivalent capability through professional experience or alternative qualifications. Responsibilities: We orchestrate the ingestion, processing, and storage of raw data within structured and unstructured data repositories.We design, develop, deploy, and support data infrastructure, pipelines, and architecture.We implement reliable, scalable, and tested solutions to automate data ingestion.We develop systems to manage batch processing and real-time streaming of data.We evaluate business needs and objectives.We support implementation of data governance requirements.We facilitate pipelines that prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling.We work with domain teams to scale the processing of data.We identify opportunities for data acquisition.We combine raw information from different sources.We manage and maintain automated tools for data quality and reliability.We explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability.We collaborate with data scientists, IT, and architects on several projects.
