About this role

Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience working with data in insurance, either in professional services or industry.Experience across one or more insurance functional domains such as underwriting, distribution, claims, or finance.Insurance industry functional domain expertise.Good understanding of data concepts such as data modelling, data management, data quality, master data management, reference data, reporting and visualisation, and AI applied to insurance.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and propose practical, data-driven solutions.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to structure thoughts clearly and tell a compelling story, including using data visualisations to support arguments.Experience developing senior stakeholder relationships and using them to drive and embed change.Ability to work independently, think strategically, and identify opportunities for innovation and growth while delivering high-quality solutions.Exceptional time management skills to manage competing priorities across client service, practice development, and business development responsibilities. Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and deliver cutting-edge data solutions.Support the design, development, and implementation of complex data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytical solutions for insurance clients.Architect and build robust data platforms utilising cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.Translate complex business problems into technical requirements and actionable data strategies.Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions for challenges such as risk assessment, fraud detection, claims optimisation, and customer personalisation.Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to clients and stakeholders, and provide recommendations for addressing challenges.Mentor and guide junior data professionals, fostering their technical and consulting skills.Stay up to date with industry trends and the latest advancements in data and AI technology, and identify opportunities to incorporate new tools and techniques.Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and solution design.Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of innovative insurance data solutions, sharing expertise and best practices with clients and colleagues.
