Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements: Must have development experience in Python, Scala, C++ or Java, with workloads deployed to production.Must have one of the following: Cloud Developer Associate, Cloud Data Engineer Associate, or a similar certification.Strong preference for architect-level certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.Experience with cloud-based data platforms and deep architectural understanding.Ability to demonstrate advanced stakeholder management skills and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to present complex architectural concepts to non-technical audiences.Ability to provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to engineering teams.Extensive hands-on experience across data capture, curation, and consumption pipelines on cloud platforms.Experience conducting technical and architectural assessments, defining future-state architectures, and articulating migration strategies.Experience designing and building enterprise-grade cloud data solutions.Experience implementing and optimising data lake and data warehouse solutions on cloud platforms.Experience developing logical and physical data models for NoSQL data stores.Experience developing and orchestrating scalable, reusable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.Experience developing event-based and streaming data ingestion and processing.Experience with data ingestion, data engineering, and/or data curation using native cloud services or cloud marketplace tools.Experience developing data governance, data cataloguing, and data lineage solutions.Experience developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.Experience working with platforms from cloud vendors such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.Experience working in agile delivery teams with DevOps ways of working.Experience using Git, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.Experience in data migration activities, including strategy, discovery, analysis, mapping, development, and reconciliation. Responsibilities: Design and deliver robust, scalable, and secure data engineering architectures, frameworks, and pipelines on cloud projects.Devise innovative architectural solutions to help clients address complex data challenges and develop modern analytics platforms.Take responsibility for architectural integrity, technical strategy, and client stakeholder engagement.Deliver solutions for clients using agile methodologies.Lead architectural assessments of existing data platforms.Define target-state architectures and develop strategic roadmaps leveraging Cloud IaaS and PaaS components.Define and evolve the architectural blueprint for data engineering pipelines.Guide implementation to ensure scalability, performance, and strategic alignment.Define and guide the technical roadmap for data platforms, ensuring architectural alignment and robust delivery through advanced DevOps practices.Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to engineering teams onshore and offshore.Evaluate and champion emerging open-source and proprietary data technologies.Drive the architectural vision for analytics and cognitive offerings.Contribute to technical solutioning in proposals.Shape the growth of the Strategy, Governance & Architecture community.Provide architectural oversight, technical and engineering governance for key client project workstreams.Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.Own one or more workstreams and contribute to the commercially successful conclusion of client engagements.
