Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year
Requirements: Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline; advanced degrees are welcome but not essentialStrong technical background, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning solutions in a business or research environmentExperience working on data-driven projects within regulated or data-rich industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, public sector, or similar) is advantageousDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and to manage relationships with stakeholdersRelevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent) and completion of technical courses in AI/ML, data engineering, or cloud technologies are desirableStrong proficiency in at least one modern programming language commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python, R), with hands-on experience developing, training, and deploying machine learning modelsPractical experience with leading AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost), including model selection, tuning, and evaluationExperience implementing end-to-end machine learning workflows, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, validation, and deployment to production environmentsFamiliarity with advanced AI techniques such as deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, reinforcement learning, and Generative AI (e.g., large language models, diffusion models, or generative adversarial networks)Experience building and deploying Generative AI solutions, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation of large language models (LLMs) or other generative architecturesUnderstanding of MLOps principles, including automated model training, CI/CD for ML, model versioning, monitoring, and retrainingExperience deploying AI and GenAI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and leveraging cloud-native AI/ML services and toolsAwareness of responsible AI and GenAI practices, including model interpretability, fairness, bias mitigation, and ethical considerationsAbility to communicate complex AI and GenAI concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting style and content as neededExperience collaborating in agile, cross-functional teams, and supporting the professional development of junior engineers is highly valued Responsibilities: Work closely with client stakeholders and Deloitte leadership to understand business challenges and contribute to the design and delivery of data and AI solutions that address their needsTake ownership of the development and implementation of AI and machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytics solutions, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practicesSupport the deployment and operationalisation of AI systems, focusing on performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulationsResearch, assess, and apply emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance solution effectiveness and drive continuous improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project delivery and integration of AI solutionsContribute to the mentoring and development of junior team members, promoting a culture of learning, innovation, and delivery excellence Technologies: AIAWSAzureCI/CDCloudComputer VisionFine-tuningGCPSupportMachine LearningMLOpsModel TrainingPyTorchPythonSecurityTensorFlow More:
