Requirements: We are looking for a Data Engineer with a first-class degree in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university, supported by strong A-level results.We want someone with experience in a similar Data Engineer role at a Hedge Fund or Investment Bank, and a solid understanding of financial markets and investment management.We need strong technical skills in Python or C# and SQL, plus experience with version control and working on shared codebases.Experience with modern data tools and technologies such as Apache Spark and Azure Databricks is preferred.We value strong knowledge of data management principles and best practices.We are looking for experience with data analysis, visualisation tools and techniques.We want someone who can communicate complex data and technical information clearly to front office traders.Exposure to BBG, Markit, Refinitiv, or macro research would be ideal. Responsibilities: We transform raw data from third-party sources into useful insights, analysis, and visualisations for our trading team, investment quants, and investment desk.We interrogate vendor data endpoints to source and analyse data.We ensure data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across all platforms.We develop data dictionaries and other documentation.We collaborate with technology teams to implement and enhance our data systems and processes.We keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technology in data content and tooling.
