As a Project Cost Control Manager (m/f/d), you will ensure the financial integrity and predictability of complex, multi-site electrification and grid projects. You will act as the commercial bridge between Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Finance to drive profitability, maintain cost-schedule integration, and provide early-warning visibility for project leadership.
Job Description Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Framework Ownership: Lead the end-to-end cost control lifecycle, including budget establishment, CBS structures, and cost-coding standards in alignment with corporate governance. • Financial Forecasting & Analytics: Deliver accurate Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) and Estimate-to-Complete (ETC) forecasts. Perform trend, variance, and burn-rate analyses to detect and mitigate financial risks. • Integrated Project Controls: Partner with Planning to ensure seamless integration between costs and Primavera P6 schedules, utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) to measure performance. • Change & Risk Management: Quantify and track all variations and commercial events. Maintain the cost-risk register and drive proactive mitigation strategies. • Stakeholder Reporting: Lead cost presentations for Monthly Project Reviews (MPR) and steering committees, ensuring transparency in financial impacts and performance metrics. • Process Excellence: Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of cost workflows (Power BI, SAP/ERP) to increase forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with financial training, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or any related degrees (Master’s degree is an advantage). • AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent professional certification is required / strongly preferred. • 10+ years’ experience in project cost control for large industrial, EPC, transmission, HVDC, infrastructure, or energy projects. • Strong expertise in cost management and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and advanced Excel / Power BI capability for analytics and visualization. • Proven ability to work effectively with Oracle Primavera P6. • Comprehensive understanding of WBS / CBS structures, performance measurement, and Earned Value Management (EVM). • Demonstrated capability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and operate within multicultural environments. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. • Curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing in cost management practices.
