Responsibilities / Tasks
• Preparing and supervising mechanical work (TIG welding / piping)
• Involved in preparing cost estimates and quotations
• Planning maintenance and mechanical work on machinery and installations
• Organizing and monitoring work permits
• Providing instructions to all mechanical technicians (focus) and to other subcontractors like electricians or insulators
• Supervising work activities and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance
• Managing the return of materials and tools (during and after work activities)
• Reporting work progress and completed activities to the project manager/responsible person
Responsibilities
• Maintaining clean and safe workplaces
• Reporting on completed work activities
• Ensuring compliance with the customer's safety regulations and site rules
• Acting as the contact person between GEA and the customer
• Overall work planning and coordination
• Cost control : keep working hours under control and within budgeted number of hours
• Ensuring the workplace is left clean and orderly upon completion of the work
• Completing incident reporting forms correctly in the event of any emergencies or incidents (calamities)
• Performing safety inspections and toolboxes with work staff
Your Profile / Qualifications
• Mechanical training and experience (including knowledge of TIG welding and thin-wall piping systems in the food industry)
• VCA-VOL (Safety Certificate for Operational Supervisors)
• Experience with leading teams on site
• Willing to work on different customer locations within the Netherlands and possibly Belgium
