Grand Canyon University is seeking a server to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's golf course.
Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to create a welcoming environment for customers in the bar through food and beverage service.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks • Restock and replenish inventory and supplies • Provide exceptional customer service in all touch points with customers (information, greeting, food service, bar service, retail service). Promote a positive perception of the Company at all times both internally & externally • Working shift work and weekends, and public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance • Adhere to employee conduct, food and beverage regulations, uniform and personal hygiene requirements and report any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage
Equipment:
• Golf Cart (MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE & CLEAN DRIVING RECORD) QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrates excellent customer services skills • Working knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations and current Maricopa County certification • Working knowledge of Responsible Service standards for alcohol and current certification as well as knowledge of Mixology and ability to prepare cocktails timely and meeting service protocols. • Self- motivated and shows initiative to start and complete tasks. • Good communications skills with a good command of the English language, conversational Spanish would be beneficial. • Will be required to work weekends and holidays or extended hours as needed. • Valid Drivers License and Clean Driving Record

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: $12.15 per hour plus tips Anticipated End Date June 30, 2027 Number of Openings: 2
