About this role
As a Civil Engineer, you will join our team in Bridgewater to support major construction and infrastructure projects.
This role focuses on overseeing on-site activities, ensuring quality compliance, monitoring construction progress, and maintaining accurate site records aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring that work is delivered safely, to specification, and in line with project expectations.
You will work closely with contractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to maintain high standards across all stages of construction delivery.

Site Supervision & Quality AssuranceMonitor construction works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirementsInspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are metIdentify and report defects, non-conformances, and potential risksDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate, concise, and contract-relevant site diaries and reportsDocument progress, issues, and key milestones throughout the project lifecycleSupport project teams with clear and structured reportingStakeholder & Contractor ManagementEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors and site teamsProvide clear guidance while remaining independent, objective, and professionalCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholdersHealth, Safety & ComplianceEnsure works are carried out in accordance with CDM Regulations and health & safety requirementsSupport compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental standardsContribute to safe systems of work and site-based risk managementConstruction OversightSupport delivery of large civil engineering works and infrastructure installationsMonitor construction methods, sequencing, and material usageParticipate in document and drawing review processes where required Required Skills:
Broad understanding of the construction industry, materials, and trade methodsStrong organisation, delegation, and communication skillsProven experience working within large construction teamsAbility to produce clear, accurate, and contract-relevant site diariesHigh attention to detail when inspecting work and materialsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to be persuasive and diplomatic while remaining independentRequired Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil engineering or equivalent military experience Desirable Skills:
Experience in large civil works installation and erectionUnderstanding of CDM Regulations and approvals processes (documents and drawings)Experience using electronic handheld devices for site data captureStrong written and verbal communication skills in English (French is advantageous) Why join us?
