About this role
Courier responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Documenting, packaging and transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans/protocolsMaintaining quality control of all assignments and completing documents in a timely mannerFollowing and enforcing company health and safety policiesFollowing technical instructions and guidanceLong distance driving and night driving, as neededRoutes may include driving into Illinois, Ohio, and IndianaRoutes will be a maximum of 300 miles from Portage, MIAdditional duties as assignedThe position is part-time, on an as needed basis. Hours will be as needed throughout the week, with an estimated 15-20 hours/week on average, but hours may fluctuate week to week. Hours could be during the day, evening, or occasionally on weekends. Basic Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.A valid state issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.Must be able to operate a motor vehicle Must be able to use Smartphone. Must be willing and able to drive long distances (4+ hours) Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipThe ideal candidate would possess:
Ability to follow GPS directions Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies Position is Part-time position, on an as needed basis.
