Community Senior Staff Nurse - up to12 Month Fixed Term - Base to be confirmed.

Main duties of the job
What you will be doing
Assessing new patients for nursing care in their own homes, creating and evaluating care plans. Undertaking skilled nursing care for a devolved caseload with support of the District Nurse Support the District Nurse with leading the team on a day to day basis Our core service hours are 8am - 6pm, 7 days per week.
It can be quite a challenging role at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, and resilience and vigilance are important.

Qualifications Essential
RGN/RN part 1 or 2 on NMC Register Teaching and assessing qualification/Supporting Learners in Practice or current equivalent Educated to diploma/degree level and relevant equivalent training and experience
Desirable
Prepared to undertake Community Specialist Practice Degree Nurse Prescriber or prepared to undertake the course
Experience Essential
Minimum three years post registration clinical experience Relevant transferable skills to work in a community setting Experience of working autonomously and managing own patient workload Teaching in a clinical setting Evidence of Leadership Skills

Long Term Condition qualification/experience Recruitment and Selection experience Experience of managing change and developing teams Minimum of two years working within a Community environment
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Essential
