Applications are invited for the post of

Pharmacy Support Worker Higher Level , to work in the Pharmacy at Grantham Hospital.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and hardworking individual. Duties will include working in the dispensary, on the wards, and supporting procurement. You will be involved in ward top up, stock supply, reception duty, receiving goods and dispensing for in-patients, discharges and out-patients. You will also work with the Homecare team based on other sites to receive prescriptions, raise and receipt orders, dispense, certify and authorise invoices, provide reports.

What we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is able to work equally well as an individual or a member of the team. It will be essential for you to have the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in Pharmacy or the willingness to study towards this qualification, with appropriate in-house training being provided.

Skills, Knowledge & Aptitudes Essential

Knowledge of Pharmacy procedures Good IT skills Ability to master a variety of tasks Numerate Experience in use of computer software Ability to work accurately and methodically Ability to receive, understand and convey technical information clearly Ability to recognise when to seek appropriate assistance from colleagues Ability to communicate with wide range of service users

Experience Essential

Working within a pharmacy department

Desirable

Relevant experience in similar field Experience of processing invoices

Qualifications Essential

4 GCSE or equivalent including English, Maths and a Science subject or equivalent Experience gained to NVQ3 or equivalent level

Flexible approach to working hours as may be required to participate in 7 day working. Able to accept direction Willingness to be flexible in terms of tasks undertaken (within competence).
