Job summary
Under the leadership of the Recovery Colleges and MEP Service Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the management, overall supervision, initiation and embedding and aligning of effective business and administrative processes across the teams. The post holder will provide high quality, confidential and efficient business and administrative support, guidance and leadership in a timely and professional manner.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the comprehensive day to day management of the Recovery Colleges and MEP, supporting the management of heavy and complex diary commitments, ensuring the smooth running of the office and course schedules proactively and effectively.
Make sound judgement when faced with a range of information relating to clinical and non-clinical situations and exercising analytical skills to explore the range of options and to ensure matters are relayed to the appropriate person in a timely manner
To provide team wide (approx. 30 people) operational support to the Service Manager, i.e. receiving and monitoring staff leave requests, logging of staff sickness and oversight of any required actions - whilst continuously considering team resource and service demand, and where appropriate to help negotiate and delegate work load necessary to cover absences.
Directly support the Service Manager in the management of 3 service budgets. Responsible for recording and processing all finance and procurement related activity accurately as well as locally tracking payments and responding to internal or external queries. Process and monitor team expense claims in line with trust rules and expected budgets.

Qualification/Experience Essential
Degree in administrative/management related subject or 2+ years' experience in a senior administrative/office manager role ideally within the NHS.

Qualification in leadership

Experience providing a range of business support/management functions. Proficient in using Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint Experienced in the handling of complex enquiries from the public, people who use services and carers as well as the production, and delivery, of audience suitable reports and presentations.
