We are looking for a proactive and motivated Outpatient Team Leader to join our busy NHS service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative, coordination, and people management experience to step into a role where your work directly supports timely patient care and service delivery.
Working within a fast-paced but highly supportive team environment, you will take the lead in coordinating our team of coordinators and clinic activity, ensuring services run efficiently and patients receive the best possible experience. Main duties of the job
As a Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. You will oversee clinic management and regeneration processes, coordinate clinic rotas, and ensure outcome processes are completed accurately and efficiently. A key part of the role will also involve training and supporting staff, helping to maintain high standards and continuous improvement.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will regularly communicate with patients and healthcare professionals via telephone and Microsoft Teams, so clear, professional, and compassionate communication is a must. You should be confident using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and be comfortable navigating a range of clinical systems.

Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience Essential
Clerical / administrative experience, including filing and / or reception Experience of dealing with the public, both on the telephone and in person Line management experience of administrative staff in a healthcare or customer-facing environment, including supervision, performance monitoring and staff development.
Desirable
Line Management Experience Previous NHS Experience Experience of using a Patient Administration System Previous NHS or healthcare experience, ideally within dermatology or cancer pathways. Knowledge of RTT and other performance targets Experience supporting urgent or cancer pathways (e.g., 2WW / fast-track) and understanding of MDT processes. Knowledge of excel

Qualifications and Training Essential
