Our team are dedicated to offering a calm, peaceful and homely environment, with 24-hour nursing care. We are able to support people from a variety of backgrounds, including those who have been in hospital, and people who are moving into our home from the community. Our focus is on stabilising our residents mental health, and supporting them to develop their daily living skills.

Main duties of the job
Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

Fern Lodge has an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. You will be working shift patterns, with long and short days.
Fern Lodge is located in the historic Roman city of Chester, in Cheshire. Our home is set in a suburban area of the city, off a main road, and offers residential and nursing support for 17 males and females with mental health needs.

Qualifications and Experience Essential
- A Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with some post-registration experience. - Demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development. - Possess a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and service development, and is capable of adopting flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
