About this role

Job summary

The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients registered with our practices. You will have experience within a primary care setting and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.

Main duties of the job

As a clinical leader within our multidisciplinary team (working alongside GPs, Practice Nurses, Care Coordinators and Pharmacists), you will help transform and modernise care pathways.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Autonomous Clinical Practice: Making independent decisions in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients across full episodes of care.Minor illness & long-term conditions.Clinical Governance & Leadership: Accountable alongside the Lead Nurse for driving clinical governance, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.Team Mentorship: Inspiring high standards of care, supporting skill-sharing across traditional professional boundaries, and mentoring team members.

At Rosedean House Surgery, we are looking for a dedicated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team. Fresh off our recent CQC 'Good' rating, we are continually investing in our people, our services, and the Liskeard community.

Person Specification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Essential

Key Skills: Sound clinical reasoning under pressure, strong communication skills, flexibility, and a friendly, patient-centred approach. Leadership Mindset: Ability to lead, inspire, and drive continuous clinical improvement within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications Essential

Registration: Current NMC, HCPC, or GPhC registration. Qualifications: All applicants must have a full MSc in Advanced Practice (or equivalent Level 7 qualification) Must be an Independent Prescriber (V300)

Experience Essential

Primary Care Experience: Proven experience in NHS primary care managing full episodes of care and minor illness.
