Main duties of the job Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at the Rivermere Care Home in Kent. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of personal care to our residents, ensuring their dignity and independence are respected at all times. You'll play a key role in identifying clinical risks such as weight loss, pressure sores, and signs of infection, escalating these issues as necessary. Always acting courteously, you'll respect the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors. You must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and be able to demonstrate initiative. Experience in care work is not essential, as Avery provides comprehensive induction and training programs to build your confidence in your role. A DBS Disclosure check is required, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK must be provided. ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner. Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.ABOUT YOU

Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home. Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members. Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Qualifications Essential
The candidate should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and writing and show initiative. Experience is not required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided. Candidates should demonstrate respect towards residents and work efficiently under reasonable instructions provided by team members. An ability to adapt and be flexible covering a range of responsibilities is welcomed.
