Key Responsibilities 1. Import & Export Operations Handle end-to-end import and export logistics operations for raw materials, consumables, machinery, and finished goods. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, CHA/custom brokers, transporters, and port authorities. Monitor shipment schedules to ensure timely clearance and delivery. Arrange sea, air, and road freight based on urgency and cost optimization. Track shipments and resolve logistics bottlenecks. 2. EOU & Customs Compliance Manage logistics activities under the EOU scheme in compliance with Customs and DGFT regulations. Maintain records for bonded stock, imports, exports, and duty-free materials. Coordinate with Customs authorities for audits, inspections, and documentation. Ensure proper filing and reconciliation of: Bill of Entry Shipping Bill ARE / LUT documentation Re-warehousing certificates Bond registers Monthly/annual EOU returns Ensure adherence to customs bonding procedures and inventory accountability. 3. Private Bonded Warehouse Management Coordinate with suppliers operating under Private Bonded Warehouse regulations. Monitor bonded inventory movement and ensure proper documentation for inward and outward transactions. Ensure compliance for duty deferment, warehousing timelines, and customs approvals. Reconcile warehouse stock with ERP and customs records. 4. EPCG Coordination Handle logistics and documentation related to EPCG imports. Coordinate installation certificates and export obligation documentation. Track EPCG licenses, validity periods, and compliance requirements. Liaise with DGFT consultants and internal commercial teams for closure and reporting. 5. Freight Forwarding & Vendor Management Negotiate freight contracts with freight forwarders, transporters, and CHA agents. Evaluate logistics vendors based on cost, service quality, and delivery performance. Ensure cost-effective transportation planning for import/export shipments. Maintain relationships with shipping lines, airlines, ICDs, and port operators. 6. Domestic Transportation & Distribution Plan and monitor domestic transportation of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinate dispatch schedules with production, stores, and sales teams. Ensure timely delivery to customers and inter-unit transfers. Monitor transporter performance, freight costs, and transit damages. 7. Documentation & ERP Coordination Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of logistics documentation. Update shipment details and inventory transactions in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally/ERPNext, etc.). Generate MIS reports related to freight cost, shipment status, inventory movement, and compliance. 8. Cost Optimization & Process Improvement Analyze freight and logistics costs and implement cost-saving initiatives. Improve transportation efficiency and warehouse utilization. Develop SOPs for logistics and compliance operations. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and statutory standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, or related field. Additional certification in Export-Import Management / Supply Chain preferred. Experience 8–12 years of experience in logistics, import-export operations, and supply chain management in a manufacturing industry.
