Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas, and other building interiors Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using standard or industrial equipment Empties recycling and trash receptacles daily and removes the contents to appropriate dumpsters Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes/cleans walls, doors, glass, windows, ceilings Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas as required May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, carpets, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions May also sweep walks or perform other incidental seasonal tasks when required Keeps lunchroom area surfaces and appliances clean and free from stains, including floors, tabletops, counters Participate in upholding 5 S standards Competencies Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED with 1 – 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
