About the role Do you have a passion for plants, gardening and helping people create beautiful indoor / outdoor spaces? K&B Mitre 10 Norwood is looking for a Garden Specialist Retail Team Member to join our team on a part-time basis (25-30 hours per week). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys sharing their garden knowledge, providing great customer service, and working in a hands-on retail environment. You'll be a key part of our Garden Centre, helping customers find the right plants, products and advice for their next gardening project. This role works across a rotating roster and requires availability to work every second Saturday and Sunday. What you will be doing; Assisting customers with plant selection, gardening products and seasonal advice Providing outstanding customer service Maintaining healthy, well-presented plant displays Receiving, watering and caring for plant stock Processing sales through the POS system Creating customer orders and organising deliveries where required Maintaining pricing, signage and promotional displays Following safety procedures and helping keep the store clean and tidy You’ll likely be a match if you have: Strong knowledge of plants, gardening and outdoor products Previous experience in a garden centre, nursery, landscaping, horticulture or a similar environment A genuine passion for gardening and helping customers A friendly, approachable and customer-focused attitude Reliable availability to work a rotating roster, including every second weekend Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems About Us K & B Timber & Hardware Pty Ltd is a prominent player in the hardware, timber, building supplies and truss manufacturing industries.
