Job Title: CNC Machinist - Level 3Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist - Level 3 to operate CNC mills and lathes efficiently. The ideal candidate will perform tool changes, program offsets, and quality inspections using micrometers and calipers. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machines and ensuring high-quality production standards. Responsibilities • Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery. • Respond to machine malfunctions and follow safety operating procedures. • Maintain part specifications through turning, facing, drilling, boring, grooving, threading, and milling operations. • Display proficiency in taking measurements, adjusting, and replacing worn tools. • Adhere to internal quality assurance procedures and processes. • Utilize precision gauges and instruments, read inspection documents, record irregularity findings, and make decisions for part quality. • Perform unassisted tool wear offsets on machine tools, such as drills, taps, and inserts. • Use hand tools for deburring as required. • Coordinate workload in multiple machine CNC cells. • Perform regular equipment cleaning and light maintenance tasks for lubricants and coolant. • Recognize, deploy, and properly use work holding, precision tooling, and inserts. • Make machine adjustments and perform own tool wear offsets. • Interpret quality requirements and use gauges to meet tolerance requirements. • Participate in and contribute to a continuous improvement culture, including lean initiatives. Essential Skills • 3-5 years experience in CNC mills and lathes operation. • 2+ years experience in performing tool changes and offsets. • 2+ years experience in quality inspections using micrometers and calipers. • Proficiency in blueprint reading and using precision measuring tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in performing preventative maintenance on machines. • Knowledge of Fanuc, grinder, deburring, drill press, changeover, troubleshooting, CNC equipment, mill, lathe, and precision measuring tools. Work EnvironmentThe position is for the 2nd shift, Monday to Thursday from 3:45 pm to 2:15 am. Candidates will train on the 1st shift or a mid-shift for at least three weeks. Steel-toed shoes are required, and you can wear shorts in the summer with a relatively plain t-shirt or sweatshirt. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
