What You'll Do As a Visiting Associate, you’ll spend 2–4 months as a fully integrated member of a BCG case team, working on real client challenges from day one. You’ll take ownership of specific parts of a project, applying analytical thinking and creativity to some of the most complex questions facing leading businesses and organizations. You’ll work alongside BCG consultants and clients from diverse backgrounds, turning data and insights into recommendations that can shape strategy, transformation, and real-world outcomes. Along the way, you’ll learn through hands-on experience, structured training, and close mentorship from experienced BCG colleagues. You’ll be challenged to grow, encouraged to contribute your perspective, and surrounded by people who are invested in your development. For many, an internship at BCG is not only an opportunity to experience consulting, it can be the first step towards a career at BCG.
What You'll Bring
• This internship is typically suited to students in the final stages of their bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a master’s degree. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please feel free to reach out to our recruiting team for guidance. • A strong academic track record. • Strong analytical skills for quantitative problem-solving, paired with high attention to detail. • Critical thinking skills to evaluate information, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions. • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, navigating new and complex challenges with curiosity and adaptability. • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch, with the ability to communicate clearly and adapt your style to different audiences and levels of seniority. • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and adapt to changing environments.

We welcome applications to our internship program throughout the year and interview candidates on a rolling basis. Internships can start year-round. During the interview process, you’ll discuss your preferred timing with your recruiter and together determine a start month that works for both you and BCG.

Step 2: Online Assessment You’ll complete a virtual reasoning assessment designed to evaluate your analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. The assessment includes interpreting data and graphs, drawing conclusions from available information, and performing calculations. Step 3: First-Round Interviews The first round consists of: • Two case interviews (60 minutes each) Step 4: Final-Round Interviews The final round consists of: • A personality-based interview with a recruiter (45 minutes) • Two case interviews (60 minutes each) • A written case (2.5 hours) Step 5: Offer Following the final round, successful candidates may receive an offer to join BCG Amsterdam as a Visiting Associate.
