About this role

Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Material Handler is responsible for all warehouse areas and related activities, including the accurate pulling and return of labels and packaging supplies, shipping and receiving operations, stock rotation of raw materials, lot tracking, and proper storage of all materials. Responsibilities

• Unload and inspect incoming materials such as ingredients, bulk tankers, packaging, and supplies in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Verify quantities and compliance of received materials, properly tag them, and place them in the appropriate storage areas following receiving SOPs. • Ensure quality control approval of incoming materials before stocking or use, and complete tagging and placement of all incoming materials, including any remaining from the previous shift, during the same shift they are received. • Pick and stage orders by item number for shipment to third-party logistics providers, ensuring accuracy in counts and lot numbers. • Prepare finished goods for shipment and provide accurate information for bills of lading, including counts and lot details. • Load correct finished goods onto the appropriate carrier in accordance with Shipping SOPs, verifying that quantities and paperwork are accurate. • Provide materials to the production area as needed while maintaining proper FE-FO stock rotation by lot code where applicable. Essential Skills

• Positive mental attitude and professional approach to daily work. • Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds using safe lifting techniques. • At least six (6) months of relevant experience in a warehouse, material handling, or similar environment. • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. • Documented forklift training. • Knowledge of food plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
